Business Leaders for Michigan has helped secure funding to sustain support for the City of Detroit’s business attraction program and fund the Downtown Detroit Partnership’s downtown marketing program.
Both the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation and the Downtown Detroit Partnership will receive $1 million over three years for these programs. Funding comes from the Lower Woodward Housing Fund, a program established by Detroit Renaissance, the City and several foundations to promote development.
The Fund has had idle funds available due to a slump in the housing market and these programs will help stimulate renewed interest in housing-related development.
