Anna Heaton

Anna Heaton works as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Business Leaders for Michigan and is responsible for helping to build support for BLM’s key priorities such as education reform, infrastructure and economic development efforts.

Prior to joining Business Leaders for Michigan, Anna served as Press Secretary for Gov. Rick Snyder, serving as day-to-day media spokesperson in addition to working behind-the-scenes on strategic communications. Anna also worked under House Speaker Jase Bolger for four years, communicating complex issues such as tax reform, Detroit’s Grand Bargain and improved budgeting practices. Before beginning a career in government at the state level, Anna was an aide to Congresswoman Candice Miller in Washington, D.C.

Anna has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Western Michigan University.
